The Score Your Surgeon Uses Now in Your Hands
The KOOS JR is the same validated knee function score used in clinics. Take it every two weeks and watch your number climb as your knee gets stronger.

Three simple steps to get started.
01
Answer seven simple questions
The KOOS JR asks about stiffness, pain, and daily activities like rising from a chair or bending to the floor. It takes about two minutes.
02
Get your clinically validated score
Your answers are converted into a standardized score using the same method orthopedic surgeons rely on to track outcomes.
03
Track your score over time
Take the assessment every two weeks. The trend chart shows your functional improvement — objective proof that recovery is happening.
Feelings about your knee can change hour to hour. A validated score gives you an objective anchor.
Your surgeon likely tracks this same score. Now you can see it between visits.
Watching your score climb is powerful motivation on the days your knee feels like concrete.
Every degree counts — and so does every point on your KOOS JR.
“I kept telling my husband I wasn't getting better. Then I looked at my KOOS JR scores — I'd gone up 14 points in six weeks. The improvement was real. I just couldn't feel it day to day.”

What is the KOOS JR?+
The KOOS JR (Knee Injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score for Joint Replacement) is a seven-question assessment used by orthopedic surgeons to measure knee function. It covers stiffness, pain during activities, and difficulty with daily tasks. It's one of the most widely used tools in knee replacement research.
How often should I take it?+
Every two weeks is ideal. Taking it more often can add unnecessary stress, and less often might miss meaningful changes. Consistent timing gives you the clearest picture of your progress over months.
What do the scores mean?+
Scores range from 0 to 100, where higher is better. Most people see significant improvement in the first three to six months after surgery. Don't worry about hitting a specific number — what matters most is that your trend is moving in the right direction.
